I can’t seem to find any useful information, so asking here. Bought a trailer with that was inspected a month ago. Does it need a fresh inspection with change of ownership or does the 1 year continue from the last inspection? Thanks![]()
DOT inspection needed on trailer with current DOT inspection!

An inspection is an inspection. As long as you have the paperwork for the inspection, its good to go, even upon transfer of ownership.

While @DRTDEVL is 100% correct, do you really want to pull a trailer some random other person inspected?
While not legally required, you should get an inspection done from a reputable shop so you know everything is good. -

Give it a full dot inspection with your eyes atleast once a week... although legally you are supposed to everyday
OldeSkool Thanks this.
