    The trucking industry is taking a huge hit with rates, High fuel, there are more drivers available than jobs, there is no such thing as a driver's shortage, but there is definitely is a hiring company shortage, I live in Missouri and nobody is hiring from this state, Craigslist and indeed is flooded by Chicago companies.

    What part of Missouri are you looking? One short stroll through Springfield indeed and there are quite a few CDL A jobs posted.

    I don’t dispute your recession comment much though at least on the trucking side.

    It appears to be that there are a lot of jobs in indeed but when you call them they are mostly in Chicago or other states, I'm 25 miles east of Kansas City, unemployment is sky high, you see ads on Craigslist people begging for daily pay, it's depressing and if I can find a better economy to move too I will leave Missouri, I wish I would have never left Texas

    I don't think we're in a recession.

    There's plenty of labor shortage. Including truckers. And plenty of signs looking for truckers.

    Inventory still lacks. Even though the ports have caught up. Companies still can't get their materials needed to build things.

    My state still has the lowest unemployment on record.

    Housing has slowed. But that's all that's slowed.

    Group One Inc, in north KC.
    Christenson Transportation, in Strafford.
    Dot Foods, in KC and Strafford.

    I’m sure, the freight companies and fuel haulers are hiring, too.

    Frito lay around those parts is hiring van drivers that make 60K a year. I spoke to a warehouse manager couple of weeks back.

    #### good money for a 4wheel van.
