Yes, but you said it started first. The fuel went to the low side, and when you started it you emptied what was in the bowl and fuel lines to the head. No big deal, very common.
It can, and does. No big deal. It's just gravity
Parked it and now, no start

So, got it pulled to level ground and let it sit for a few hours while I went and did other work.
Came back and the gauge says 1/3 tank.
Fill the filter housing with diesel and cranked it over. The fuel went down in the housing as it should. Kept doing that until the fuel pump kept the fuel steady in the housing.
The fuel is now staying steady about 1/4 - 1/3 up the filter. She has a long crank, will finally fire off, idles good for about 2 seconds and then spudders out and dies.
What am I missing here?
And, yup, checked the fuse next to the Celect box and it is still good.Last edited: Oct 20, 2022

Pulling air trapped in the system, is my guess. Keep filling the filter housing and keep firing it up.

That’s all it is. You can try pressuring the tank, using an air blow gun. I’m guessing you have a davco filter. Make sure it’s not sucking air. I’d hit it with some ether when it starts sputtering. That’s just my opinion. Use at your own risk.

Since it has been sitting for a week and it is a million mile truck, it may be that it is just cold. I know that's probably wishful thinking since it starts and then sputters out , but one can dream, can't he? haha
I plugged it in last night so it should be nice and warm this morning. Going to give it a try nowducnut and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Be careful with starting fluid. Some engines have heating elements in their intakes. That element will ignite the starting fluid and blow apart stuff you thought was really strong. Haha.

Any Luck?
