How many Million Milers do we have?

I did it and can prove it. Some years I did 160k. Wanna see my tax records, I got 7 years worth last 5 havn't done much but will be willing to show ya'. How close to Cedar Rapids do you get. Email me we'll talk.

 

I'm just barely under 2.5 million since my one and only crash in Chicago in July 1992. I got two speeding citations in 1995.

 

Lets see I had 3.5 million & 35 years when I came off the road in 2003. Only one major accident and that was in 1979. I had the best witness a guy could have.
A DOT cop was sitting under a bridge and watched a driver hit the right front tire I lost control ( it was the days before power steering and everyone was driving a COE.) (I 26 in SC mm 77 ) The truck was totaled and I walked away.

And yes I'm now looking to go back on the road again. This retirement stuff is for the birds.
As they say old trucker never die they just get a new pete.

 

I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.5 million. I haven't driven full time in a few years, but still get out there when I get the chance. No accidents.

 

I hit my 1st million sometime in the mid-1980's. Back in the day,we had to run our dinosaurs long & hard to make any money. Many years i ran 180,000 - 200,000, & that was nothing special. Most o/o's that i know ran at least 150,000.
I guess i'm over 4 million by now.
Oh yeah, my MVR has some dings. It looks like a dart board in an Irish pub.

 

I have two million plus but its been done in straight trucks so I don't know if that counts with you guys or not. No tickets ever in a commercial vehicle but personal vehicles a bit of a different story. No accidents ever with other vehicles that were my fault with either commercial or personal vehicles. So far so good, I hope I didn't jinx myself!!! LOL!!!

 

Does it count if you have over a million miles, but not with the same company??

Hubby has been a driver for over 24 years, with ONE accident, and three tickets. He spends MAYBE three weeks a year "on vacation"...the rest is hauling freight.

There will be an informal meeting of the Million-Miler Rules Committee at 3:00pm, March 25. Baack's house, everyone is invited but only committee members can vote. You have time to stuff the ballot box or sweet talk some of the committee members. RickG will vote NO, of course, but you have a chance with some of the other members.
