Any info on Magnum Freight Inc. out of Countryside IL?

    I was wondering if anybody had any information on Magnum Freight Inc. as I was considering them. They soupposedly have a dry van and flatbed fleet. I was looking to get onto their flatbed side as that is my preferred freight type. According to SAFER.FMCSA they are out of Countryside IL and do 1099 for their drivers. Any info would be nice thank you.

    Don’t recall seeing them before but check out the bad company section. About three times a week there will be a Chicago area 1099 company owned by Eastern Europeans. Drivers usually pay escrow to work there then get shorted on miles or percentage. Also various charges made up until the driver gets a negative paycheck. Eventually the driver quits and cannot get the escrow back along with $400 weekly paychecks is in worse shape than when he started.
    If you do go there thoroughly read everything you sign and keep a copy of everything. Even better have an attorney read everything before you sign. That would save you more than what it will probably cost you working there.

    No, different Magnum
    Magnum Companies is out of Fargo with sub divisions called LTD (OTR), LTL, Warehousing, and Logistics.

    There is another Magnum trucking company in Plainfield, IN but I thing it’s different from the OPs Magnum too
