Have to admit it would most likely be better for "humanity" if they did not let word get out.

Back in the '80s when working in the Silly-Con Valley I was on a conference call with a bunch of people from around the country waiting for a couple to show up. News hype of the day was the Nuclear clock had ticked forward another notch. Most everybody on the call were starting to freak, and asking what others would do if an alert came out. I joined in and let them know that I would prefer there be no alert sent. Just to stop the pain and suffering as people panic and wreck their cars trying to sprint across town. And that if a warning did come out I would grab a lawn chair and go sit up on the roof with sunglasses on. In hopes of seeing the blast before my eyes evaporated. Also explained the dozen or so probable targets that were all around me. Yep that conversation died out in a hurry........

It was one of the two. I knew Howard's bought out Gibson's . Just not sure of the timing as to which one of the companies it was. Highway 80 and Ellis avenue, Jackson MS. location . Further reading Howard Brothers had a franchise agreement with Gibsons , then dropped out and started using the Howard's name
