I appreciate your perspective. I'm sure if I ask 100 drivers about their experience with any particular company, I'll get a 100 different responses. The recruiters remind me of military recruiters. They'll blow smoke up your ### and promise all sorts of things, but delivering on those promises is a different matter. I've always been dedicated to whatever job I have had. I've only worked 2 different places in the last 30 years. Hopefully, that dedication to this will pay off.
New to driving, looking for good flatbed co.

Yeah, I still have the brochure and notes I took somewhere. If you see the way they break it down to get to the 88 cents, it really did not make sense to me. I feel like it’s a good company but that the pay probably isn’t there (lack of miles).
That’s something else to ask also. Is the mileage zip code to zip code, hub pay, or practical? Zip code you’re working for free, I hear. Hub is the best.Mjthompson Thanks this. -
Wow that's impressive. These days it's hard to find people who stay at a job 5 years.Mjthompson Thanks this.

Mcelroy is zip-zip, which seems ridiculous.

Most of the ones posting just terrible things are usually those that aren't going to be happy anywhere because they truly don't like their job. When it comes to the pay stubs, its not a secret most of those companies say "top earners make x". The same would be applicable here. If you don't run as hard as those folks making that money do, then you won't make that much money. I do know in my own experience at a few places I worked folks saying they weren't making money when I was, when I was running with them I could see why they weren't making money. Over sleep, drive slower than molasses, like not even doing the speed limit, etc.Lonesome and Mjthompson Thank this.

Zip to zip will earn you more than city to city. A company that pays city to city you get 0 miles paid if you're in the same city driving, even if it takes 3 hours to do that drive across that city you get $0 for the mileage.Mjthompson Thanks this.
