Hell just froze over. Dad says he’s hanging it up next week. But he’ll be 73 in January and been at this since he was 16 so I don’t blame him. Been trying to convince him to drive a golf cart for years now.

Its mint underneath. I bought it out of the dessert east of San Jose about 6 years ago. It's time for an engine rebuild and paint and interior. It's a loaded silverado has ac, power everything. I've bought a lot of the interior over the years and have it all in the shop. Just need the cash for the body. If I strip it, remove interior and engine, all trim, glass etc, it's about 10-12k to have the box and cab off, seal the frame, and paint it all.
I'm hoping $20k will have it finished.

This fluff piece by CNBC just popped up on my news feed. It's taking about a female truck driver that became an O/O and "brought home" $144,000 last year. Mind you, that's how much she earned gross not net. She also bought her truck new in 2019, so she probably has hefty truck payments. She also claims that she made $36,000 on Youtube as well.

My guess is that the video is at least a year old and she grossed $144,000 in 2020 when we were all making good money, and her take-home out of that was probably around $35,000. We all know how much insurance is on new authority, and all of the other costs involved, so $144k isn't really anything to brag about. If her husband has a decent job and with the income from Youtube they aren't doing bad, but she's not making that kind of money over the last year.

    Here is the video.

Too bad, it's not about taking money out from a truck fund, it's about a bad managing of
your finances. I don't have a truck fund.
