Truckers, truck stop manager oppose idling restrictions

Bad enough the industry is tough enough on us now with things. This is only going to make it worse and guess its going to take them having to pull froozen to death or suffocated truckers out of cold and hot trucks at truck stops and rest areas before they start to realize this is insane to deny us our right to be cool or warm

 

Article said you would be exempt from anti idling law if it is above 80 or below 40.Actually that law sounds very reasonable to me because the county could have just banned idling entirely.

 

If you think 80 degrees is reasonable you sleep in a hot truck, not me. either give the proper equipment or pay for the room. Anything less its time to change companies.

 

80 degrees is just fine, as long as your not surrounded by idling trucks. When I can, I will pull straight to a spot to get away from everyone.

 

80 is just fine for me too, while I idle away in the next county/state over from the retarded one.

 

80 degrees isnt fine for everyone. Me I start to have severe asthma attacks in my sleep more so when the weathers over 70.

 

i doubt the cops are going to enforce this or at least give you a few degrees leway if they do. its more of something to keep the tree huggers happy.

 

Dangit if I'd seen him, I'd have asked for his home adress so I can stop by every night and cut his electricity.

When it's 80 outside, how hot is it inside the trucks? 90, 100? People need to think about these things.
