And hey... Make sure we're getting angry at the right people. Those foreign workers are just taking an offered job. The companies who think someone getting paid pennies on the dollar thousands of miles away can compete with an "overpaid" local or American employee...sounds kinda vaguely simplistic and evil to me.

You just found out about Tim Batt, Austin Taylor and Artur whatever’s foreign sub-agencies? It’s a major reason I left after a decade. As you have found out, quite a few agents have left too. There are so many loads on Truckstop and DAT that say “No Landstar!” in the load postings because of these clowns. Last I heard BCO’s were only 1/3 of LS revenue, down from a 1/2 a couple years ago.

 

Pretty sure everyone is aware.

 

I deal with classier customers. I miss this dude. He just vanished about 5 yrs ago, after he'd suffered some kind of brain tumor and probably dead. Old school, was probably slinging loads back in the pay phone days.

 

I follow everything Landstar, Met two Bco's with very low truck numbers back in 2000. Learned a lot from them even though I never went Oo. Watched a lot of Land Stars go out of business, never listened to the advice that these two fellas offered. As they quit Land Star they said how bad the company was. After they lost their trucks. Can't run a business like you are a company driver and you can't fix stupid.
