This year I've run only 55 000 miles so far. I guess that's why the maintenance is less than it was in the previous years.
I am a realist enough to know that the motor has its days already counted and I am playing a little risky game...therefore, I keep within 300-500 mile radius so that towing and renting a truck can be financially and logistically possible. I don't much trust these overhaul kits because I saw a lot of disappointments and anger after they were installed. The owner - operators blamed the shops, the shops blamed the manufacturers and so it went.
As soon as I see those used trucks of 500 000 miles go down with price to $60K, I'll be testing them for a possible purchase. Investing another 20-30K there for the after system, and perhaps suspension could make them workable horses for another 500 000 - 100 000 miles or so I hope. New trucks would have to come back down from Cosmos to the planet Earth and be in the range of 160 000 -170 000 to give them any realistic thought.
If I am to keep the trailer for longer, I'll have to restore the floor buy sanding and then applying some patches in the groves and then perhaps using a kit like this:

The soonest I'd do that would be Spring. Also, I will need tires. I have to do some numbers and see if I would not better off for to get them after January 1st 2023...This year I did not make too much to worry about not having enough write offs.

Black Friday sale? I haven’t fueled since WV and will have about 1500 miles on this tank so it will be about perfect.

Just hook on to a fuel tanker, fill it up and head west. That’s close to $2/gallon less than here in the west.
