Its sturdy as hell. The wood sort of gives a little with the bounces. So far so good. This system can be modified to any truck. Just cut the plywood base to fit the TV cabinet. Cost all of $5.00 for the plywood at Lowes. I had some scrap 2x4's.

    very cool.
I've been wondering how to bracket a flatscreen in. That's a good idea.

How much bandwidth do you use watching it? I wonder if it wouldn't use less to download something recorded on a home computer verses streaming it. That 5G limit comes into play. Anyone know if there is any difference streaming verses downloading a file.

it comes on and says streaming it like loads some of the content cause when u disconnect from phone it stays on for another minute or 2. it sometimes starts and stops on u tube stuff but am able to watch anything on laptop from home. the program has a bunch of adjustments if its breaking up or not clear u can slow stream down or just pick automatic. ive had it over 2 yrs and no complaints. i could not get it to stream to lap top and i got on line to them and they took over my computer while i was online and set it up for me worked great every since. they also have a program to watch on your phone with a 30 day free trial. i think its a one time fee of 40 bucks then its on for ever. i like the sling box and have unlimited data with the blackberry so no extra charges. there is an icon on computer and u just click on and its on. has a remote on screen and u change it there.then u hit full screen and it hides remote till u move mouse then it comes back.

i hate the digital tv... simply put, it sucks!!!
if he gets an air card from one of the providers, ( verizon has theeeee best coverage for a truck driver ) which is what i have, 60 a month, and i hook it up to my tv in my truck to watch tv movies videos and such..
i have a 22inch vizio from walmart open box model for $200.

Using any broadband card for streaming movies (using Hulu, Netflix or any other) can be an expensive proposition. Streaming uses up an enormous amount of bandwidth.

Sprint USED to have the ONLY truly unlimited Broadband service, but not any more....unless you are "grandfathered" with their original "Unlimited" plan. Now their "unlimited" plan is limited to 5 GB per month.

SPRINT IS introducing a NEW "4G" service that will again allow a truly UNLIMITED service boasting speeds up to 1 to 3 GBS. One "problem" is they haven't rolled out their 4G in more than a handfull of cities and they will limit the bandwidth in non-4G areas.
