Was going across the walt whitman bridge today right outside philadelphia we had wind gust over 60mph going westbound looked over at the eastbound and wind blow this reefer haulers truck right on its side one of the craziest things ive ever seen.I had 45,000 in my dump bucket and that wind was moving my truck all over the place.

It's been a good day to not be on the road. Watch those underpasses, and anything that channels the wind, you can lose control in an instant if a large gust hits you at the wrong time.

I 84 in the NE a few weeks ago counted 5 trucks blown over from 50mph plus winds. I did 15mph on the bridge and wind rocked me violently... a real pucker... got off the bridge went to 50mph... that was to fast cuz the wind.... ended up with a safe trip.

Just so people know, if I recall on that bridge you are higher than airplanes so any problem is a big pooper.

The top of the towers on that bridge is 378 feet. Pretty low flying planes if that were true.
The roadway is 150 ft above the water.
