Im running a tri drive Pete hauling pipe in the bush with chained tires. Today after dropping a loaded trailer I drove 15 miles with deflated air bags after I forgot to reinflate and the chains tore through both of my fenders leaving giant holes on top.
Just curious if this can be chalked up to rookie mistake or am I seriously in need of re training?
Kind of stupid question but interested to hear from the vets on a mistake like this.
How big of a fool am I?

I'm more surprised you didn't notice the ride quality with the bags deflated for 15 miles.

I'd bet there isn't one driver that hasn't done something stupid during their career including me. There are no mistakes, they are LIFE lessons, live and learn.

Its been 10 yrs but the kw T600 or it might of been the 660 but it had the dump switch next to the engine brake switch.

Those who make no mistakes are the ones doing nothing…..
My bucket of bolts has a warning buzzer as well as an idiot light up over head above the sun visor, showing the air bags are deflated. Does your truck not have either…? -
when I first started I turned in a tractor to fleet with the complaint of low suspension and a clunk when I pulled.
Turns out I was driving with deflated bags.
I learned back in 2000 on old Budweiser Sideloaders with spring suspension and bench seats!
Then didn't drive for 14 years.
air bag suspension! who Knew?
