More truckers targeted

Intresting article... You know, I do think here are allot more "Inside Jobs" ...

I have seen suspicious behavior and things... and sometimes very blatant... Like about month or so ago, I was parked in this lot just down from where I would unload in the morning... This oher truck pulling a trailer pulls in and parks, then a little while later a cargo van and car pull up.. They #### chat for awhile, then they all go to the back and te driver cuts off his lock with bolt cutters, they unload several boxes and load them into the van and cars and they take off..
Next morning the truck is still there.. I go and unload, and on my way back from unloading I pass the lot where I had parked over night and the truck and trailer was there along with couple police cars, looked like they were making a report...

I went to a truck stop just down the way to shower and all... I went to have some coffee in the restaurant... A couple cops came in to eat... after my coffee I stopped to #### chat with them and told them about what I had seen..

Anyway... they told me that the driver had already been arrested... The lot has security camera' s and it was all caught on tape...

Then I was a bit embarrassed and asked if my potty break was also recorded... They laughed and assured me it won't be on the internet...

 

Ya know Lavender...That happens more than you'dlike to believe it does. In my opinion anyone that does that should never work in this industry again.

It's not hard. Half the trucks on the fuel island are running, doors unlocked, and the drivers inside testing the endurance of Pilots septic system !!!!!!!!!

 

They wonder how the thieves know, have they looked at some of these brokers yet? We all know that a lot of them are crooks.

 

They would know the product.
They would know the shipper.
They would know the shipping time.
They would know the truck company.
They would know the truck number.
They would know the trailer number.
They would know the route.

Looks like a promising lead.

 

and they can submit the stolen cargo claim to the insurance and profit some more!

 

Last time I checked the insurance paid the shipper/owner of the cargo...Not the broker!

 

blackw900 i have really enjoyed your post, i have found my attitude is not where it was when i began trucking back 25 years ago, i guess getting caught up in the driver bull has really brought me down, thanks for bringing me back to the realization im doing the job i have always loved and truly enjoy, stand on it.
