I'm waiting to read a or some "report/s" by a or some "driver/s" who parked on a Fuel Island at "some" Truck Stop, did Not shut off Engine, did Not lock Doors.
When driver returned to truck (after a hefty toilet visit), truck was gone but trailer had been DROPPED (no lowered landing gear) with Reefer still (somehow) running and Doors secured. Truck taken as Ransom.
Story would have something to do with Driver not "complying to the original agreement" written in small print that Truck will be "Recovered" till required compliance is satisfied.
Load of no importance. Tractor important.

If such has not happened, why hasn't it?

I can't remember if the other two ("Elements of Grammar" and "Elements of Usage") are also Strunk and White.

Mighta got the other two titles wrong too........it's been awhile.

 

It just means they have white Freightliners

Elements of Grammar was Shertzer. Elements of Usage was...Holt? I didn't use that one much. I might be wrong on that one. But Strunk and White was and is the Bible.

Uh, yeah. I was warned about the importance of reading anything you sign very carefully, asking questions for clarification, and making a list (mental or written) about the pros and cons of a given situation.....

In school, they called that "critical thinking", which used to be encouraged......
