Think it was something to do with mining lithium components; to make the batteries,, to power the electric cars and trucks.
Mankind still seeking perpetual motion and the ability to create and/or destroy matter...

Same here. I’m only 41 and you should see and hear me trying to get out of our worn out recliner couch chair thingies. Told the girlfriend after Christmas furniture will be replaced. Maybe with one of those lift chairs. Kinda like this sassy old broad has.

Could I have went home? It was only 25 more miles. I had a stellar week with a little extra sprinkled in. This load is quick and I will be home by 7 am. Next week could be trash. Wait…….it will be trash. Truck is going in shop to fix engine overhaul eff ups.

Better plow snow while the storm is present. (Can’t use the phrase make hay while the sun shines because it’s too cold and not sunny at all.)

This is a brown gravy good for most beef, will work with some pork.

    ingredients

    3 to 4 tablespoons flour
    Butter
    2 cups water.
2 cups stock, beef preferably, chicken if thats all ya got.
8 to 10 mushrooms, thin sliced.
    1oz bourbon.

    Additional
    12 Walnut halfs
    Butter
    Teaspoon or so brown sugar.

Brown flour in a skillet. When it starts to have a nice nutty aroma, add some butter to make a rue.
Add water and stock to rue and bring to a low simmer
Sauté mushrooms in a pan with a some butter, when tender add to gravy pan.
Place walnuts in pan and start to heat, add a pat or two of butter, when melted, add a teaspoon or so of brown sugar. Once the walnuts are crisp and candied, remove from pan and set aside. Pour the contents of the pan into the gravy mix. The gravy should have simmered down to thicken nicely, add the bourbon and stir. Add the walnuts and serve.
