Check out the produce market in Sanford....a few reefer companies there. Check Eustis area, maybe Service Trucking, or try that Sunstate Carriers, they had long runs. Best of Luck

Try MCT. They have a terminal in Sanford. Service trucking does have a terminal in Eustice too. DTL is based out of Sanford.

And 1 more question about Landstar, I kinda feel dumb for asking this but rather look like an idiot to you guys then my husband....lols....what exactly is it that landstar does? I mean they don't like have products like wal mart would, and they take a % of the revenue, and the driver would have to fight/find his own loads, and then on some trailers they charge you to rent them....so pardon my french but is LandStar the pimp and all their o/o's their h*'s?

Do a search on here for landstar. Some folks love them, some folks don't. They are better than many outfits. They have a different type system. Check their website. Good Luck............

    what does landstar do...... hmmmmm

they take a whole lot of money on cheap freight in order to pay their super high price executives. you can read through my Doing what can't be done thread if you want to learn a thing or to about them. the short answer is they take 36% if your pulling one of their vans and your lucky to find loads running $1.30mi gross and then just hope the agent doesnt' screw you out of your money because landstar always sides with them over you.

Are you looking for OTR or local work? If local, there is Schwend out of Dade City and Tri-State out of Brooksville.

Landstar's rates are pretty bad right now, I just checked and you would be lucky to get $1.00 a mile going out of florida with a dry van and then other states aren't looking much better. Remember with Landstar you take the posted rate and times it by.6566 and that is what the truck/you get. Example, load says $1.78 a mile you would get $1.17 and flatbed loads are actually not paying any better then dry vans and Landstar won't let you pull flatbed unless you have at least a year experience. I used to haul for them and still have a login I use to check the loads so I'm talking from experience, use to make really good money there a couple years ago.

Try Wiley Sanders in Troy, AL. They have a OO program and they hire a lot of drivers out of Florida. They also have a lot of their own freight as they also operate a battery recycling business and a plastic recycling business. I live in Pensacola and drive for them. Good company and good miles.
