    An unspoken rule. Never speak about Walmart pay. Which is rule 1 and 2 oddly...

    60k in my post was in regards to Werner and Prime, and based on a solo who runs a decent clock...

    I made close enough to what was on the stub with the same home time just doing dry van w2 at a company with around 200 trucks..

    They desperately want to give the impression you're not going to live in a truck for six figures. I'm happily making people mad by saying there is zero evidence of it.... Made worse by the fact I have relatives who have been driving for walmart probably longer than anyone on this board and know all the bids...

    By the way LTL union drivers and recruiters do the same thing; I was union LTL when it was hard to even get a interview, and referral link grade horse #### doesn't work here.. I'm an inconvenient MF ain't I?

    What is the likelihood of "alternative" schedules they used to/still have such as 7/7, 7/6, daycab etc?

    Are they only for high seniority, or do most not want them because of lower earnings?

    Speaking specifically about the Houston area DC's, but also from anywhere else as well.

    Highly unlikely. But you never know. 7/7 will never come back. 5/5 is usually taken by senior guys close to retirement. Might have a shot at daycab depending on how many they run. Schedule won’t be good. Work weekends and possibly overnights. A lot depends on how many long time drivers are at your DC.

    Right on;
    at least they still have a 5/5 going on, I can't justify staying out a week unless I got a week off after to make family happy.

    If employers had flexible schedules that allow for more time off, they may find less of a "driver shortage."

    Walmart was one of few I ever heard of to have something like a part time driving position for us creaky old millenials that want to live life outside of a windshield.

    A friend of mine was still on the 5 on / 5 off schedule till February 2022 when he retired. He doesn't know if they replaced him or did away with the program.

    hey guys

    I'm currently working at Fedex Freight and things are getting grim as far as freight levels and reduced hours. If Walmart was my Plan B... is there any argument for ANY Pennsylvania distribution center vs the Smyrna Delaware DC?

    Lebanon and Smyrna would be the closest to my house

    Lebanon is hiring about 10-15 drivers. Tobyhanna needs 20. Hit me up for my driver number and you be moved to top of list
