FFE has a terminal in Burlington which is about 60 miles from you.
This company will hire you, but I think Dot Transportation in Post #4 would work out better and probably make more money.

Go ahead and do the online applications from the websites for Dot Transportation and FFE. A recruiter will contact you.
This way, you can get a job lined up and then turn in your notice and get the truck properly returned to the terminal. Probably have to pay your own way home which shouldn't cost too much. I'd rent a one-way car so you can keep an eye on your personal property.

A Duie Pyle is in Port Carteret. They’ve been looking for drivers for reefer. Found out from inside. It’s night driving. Most all is drop and hook. Rather easy for reefer.
Lots of companies in NJ. Shouldn’t be a big deal finding one.

Maybe enough experience for Pilot fuel hauling? Start very early morning. Home everyday. Easy job. Hourly… little overtime puts you over $100k. Always hiring.

    ncmickey Thanks this.

Schneider has a dropyard in Kearny, NJ. :p

But I would try (and exhaust) all the other suggestion above--first.

Exit 12 on the Nj pike. Red roof inn. Google it, has lots of parking. Call manager and ask how much to park.
