I was a day behind ya... LOL. Not a regular Oklahoma guy but needed my APU fixed and that's where I go. Normally load shingles out of OKC but settled for these coil rods as I delivered not far from them... Looks like you did a nice job securing them for being new...
First time at that shipper In Madill, very quick... No complaints. If you ever seen shingles out of OKC, the company is called Malarkey, they are fast loading also!!!
Shock Therapy, cke, booley and 8 others Thank this. -
Thanks, I appreciate words of encouragement! It took a few tries to get it right. First time I ran all the straps and had the hook side on the bottom so the strap on top would pinch it and the non-winch (hook) side didn’t tighten up. Saturday 8 new winches that I ordered showed up so I’ll mount them on the curb side and use damaged straps I’ve cut the hooks off. Now I can cinch like a pro. LoL

Ya man, I got them both sides still takes two or three load check to get the hook side tight... from the look of your load seems you did 10-4... key is the X should be pointed to the cab on the first 5 coils then on the rear set pointed to the back essentially pulling them to the center. The only difference I see, which is personal preference is, i loop the first and last coil versus going over the bottom like you did... either way is ok... my bulk head was from the last load so to be honest its like 8" off the coil but in the pic it looks snug...Last edited: Jan 1, 2023
CAXPT, cke, booley and 1 other person Thank this. -
Should add, another key is when you loop the strap, as it X's the first throw, tuck it under that strap so when you tighten its under and not over... its dark out now so even with flash can't take pics, in the morning ill show... but you did good man.
CAXPT, cke, booley and 1 other person Thank this. -
Another thing before you throw those straps out, if the first 20 feet are good keep them. Just cut the "remaining 10 feet off" and use them for short straps... I keep 14 short and 14 long straps, honestly use the short more than long...
