Where's LooneyTune? Thought he was driving away from winter and then it snows in the south!:biggrin_25523:
    Probably built himself an igloo.

$160 for a 14 hour day isn't even $12 an hour! That is a slap in the face for a local truck driver. The average is $15/16. I was making $19 when I ran local with just two years experience. Sure it beats working at Walamrt for 8 an hour but let's face it driving a truck is a MUCH more responsible job so it should be compensated better.

It depends on what kind of company we are talking about, there are OTR gigs that make $500 a week and there are local jobs where averaging a grand a week is realistic.

Don't know much about the Reg drivers from there. I was stuck at the Pilot at exit 213. Real cluster. The loads we pull out of Harrisonburg are for White Wave. I know they go other places but I always get the ones to OK.

ok yeah that pilot is always a cluster. i know white wave hauled from there before. right now only thing really keeping me from starting there is the medical insurance, recruiter said you have to meet the 750 or 1500 deductible even before pay at regular doctor? really needed a co-pay for doc. like usual. that will be rough.

Thats true, but they then pay 80% on everything from there and 100% for preventable.

thats true but my wife goes regularly for her thyroid and anxiety, i cant afford to pay all those doc. bills every year til meet the deductible. am surprised with everything else so good there the ins. didnt include a doc. copay.

Ok guys I'm back. I'm sorry I have been away from here for too long. I was sick so had to spend a few extra days at home...horrible cough and couldn't get rid of it. Ended up being a real bad infection. I'll try to update as soon as possible guys

I'm heading for Bangor, Maine. Like the state of Maine, just wish I didn't have to go thru those other northeast states to get there.
