    In most circles that would be described as a masochistic tendency. :)
    On the other hand, I think it boils down to, we love the independence and the work, but there are days that we just get worn down and rethink our situation until we've stopped moving long enough to notice we aren't moving or being productive. Getting our second wind we would call it. It's in the blood. :)
