I'm away from the truck until next week, but I'm going to hardwire mine into the outlet instead of the double male and I'll let you know how it works out. Now I can fix it properly and it will be dummy proof for anyone else who may use it. The only thing I'm still unsure about is how the switch up high on the driver side that says 120V works. I think I'm just going to leave the shore power outlet disconnected rather than try to tie it into the inverter. Thanks for making this thread!

Went to work on this today, and the bolts were just spinning with the nuts. The backs are behind the fabric panel part with a plastic or rubber plug hiding the bolt head. I might be able to apply pressure and turn, or hold the bolt with pliers and attempt to break it free, but I don't want to spend too much time on it at this point. It's an 8mm nut and not much room for a wrench in there.
So left cord goes to the outlet above the refrigerator. The right cords go to the underbunk and passenger side wall. The bottom plug is the one that hooks into shore power. Without being able to see in the box, the best solution I see is to cut the bottom Phillips cord and attach a male end to those wires, provided they're color coded correctly or you know which is hot, neutral, and ground.
If I ever get around to fixing this, I'll update the thread.

I wouldn't use a test light, I'd use a multimeter to test it. Make sure the box is unpowered and set the meter to ohms, then stick one end on one of the wires that are cut, then stick the other end in one of the outlet holes. When you get a reading or it beeps, you know that wire goes to that hole. Then do another wire the same way, then the last wire and hole go together. Then you match the wires with the male plug, and you save $80 or whatever stupid amount they charge for a simple cable.

I don't know which brand I carry in my truck, it's an old yellow one that I've had forever and works really well except it doesn't make noise. I bought a cheap Harbor Freight one for like $10 or something and it didn't even work. I bought one of the more expensive Harbor Freight ones, and while it does work, I'm not a fan of the push button power switch. I'd much rather turn the dial to off when I'm done using it, since it's less likely to be accidentally switched on when being stored. Do some research, they're pretty inexpensive, yet one of the most useful tools I carry on the truck.

If the truck is using the factory Xantrex inverter , The cab power outlets can be plugged into the inverter and the inverter will attach to the outside plug.
The factory inverter system is designed so that if you plug in the shore power it will pass through the inverter to the outlets and also engage a 40 amp battery charger in the process
