I Quit within 2 weeks of starting must I say I worked there

I agree the company should have told you "no video" before you got to orientation. I would also say since the issue is one you are prepared to quit/not go forward I would have tried to do more to get a real and reliable answer from the company before traveling to orientation. Like getting an email answer from Safety Director. It's better to find out now than to get fired later. I would not complete orientation if you can't work there with that policy being enforced. I would also answer EXACTLY the question future job application ask, and not add one bit more. I'm old, I don't understand why younger drivers need to have every thought and situation show to strangers, but you do you. I stopped trucking for other reasons, parts of the country and society are still almost free so make your own choice.

I know it seems trivial to do giving up a good position, especially for entertainment of strangers, I do it for people who like trucking, I do it for friends and family, I do it to help others and entertain as well as make a little money on the side and if it helps someone, gives them enjoyment or helps people see what drivers go through daily that's enough for me and makes me happy. It's unnecessary side effort that isn't garunteed to pay me any specific amount I agree, but it's something that I enjoy doing that I was able to make a hobby out of while doing my job

As they say: if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. I know I want the best money I can make but it's one thing I won't give up

You could always just put Orientation only if you quit without pulling a load.

Until you get a employee number (for payroll purposes) you're not hired. Just like if you went to an in person job interview and they showed you the facility etc, doesn't mean you worked there. I wouldn't mention it, however, if a new employer asked about it, just say you never got past orientation.

I can't quite wrap my head around the fact that you spent 6 months trying to get on with this outfit, then decide you can't because you can't make video's to get a trivial amount of money from YouTube.
Make your video's outside of the truck, never mention the company, if you just can't stand not making any. And bring home that big paycheck you were looking for.

Not the best plan... If they list it on the DAC and its not on the application, that's considered falsifying the application and can disqualify you from a good employer.

List the time. We see this quite often... get to orientation and it wasn't as told. Being dismissed or quitting during orientation isn't the end of the world at all.

When I started as a driver back in the early 90's I worked for at least 7 companies. I literally picked which ones I worked for on my resume ND used the one I wanted for as references. I would think nothing changed since then plus how would they ever really know or care to investigate a company that you quit after 2 weeks? Do companies really have that much time too waste or actual try & fill in a trucks seat?

I was leased to company A for 3 years, quit and went to company B. Went thru orientation, painted their name and numbers on my truck. It was a Friday and waiting to get dispatched, I caught them in a big lie. Woke up Saturday morning decided I was wasting my time and put it in the wind. Bounced 1880 miles to company C, spent the next 30 years there. Yes I told company C about the few days with company B
