This site, with FULL functionality would be nice! I wish my current phone could open PDF files, and videos too.

On my hero, I can and have surfed, and posted on this site. My hero also comes standard with a PDF Viewer, Flash player for videos.
I have Sprint, so I-phone not a option.
Wish there was a app for my remote car start, they have one for I-phone, but Android op sys is fairly new and more stuff is added daily. Have Sprint Nav, Google Mpas that is integrated with the phones GPS, so I always know where I'm at, even when I'm lost. The Hero has expandable storage, so don't have to worry about that. Can run multiple apps. Can use the Hero for a wireless modem for laptop too. So have no real complaints.

This is my understanding, that all apps for I-phone, have to be approved by Apple to get on whatever their deal is to download said apps, that is simple what I heard. With Android based phones, it is open source, any developer can upload apps. With that it leaves a bit of buyer beware out there, but don't have a corporate giant deciding what people can have. Apple vs Android, it is going to be the Ford vs Chevy I would guess. Apple has 100,000+ apps, but also has been on the scene longer. And quantity is not always better than quality either.

Yes, anybody that has a Android phone, the Advanced Task Killer is a must have!
My Hero, talking on phone battery lasts a long time. Start using the internet, watching videos or SPrint Tv, will kill the battery in a couple hours. The Hero uses a mini USB cable, so can plug into any USB port for a quick charge. I carry a retractable cable with me, so can just pop it in about anywhere.

Hey trucker dave, I was also on the market and looked at the droid and the htc eris droid that verizon sells. I went with the eris. It is still a droid phone and although it did not have the 2.0 os that the droid has, it is to get an upgrade to 2.0 within the first quarter of this year (anytime). mine opens pdf's gets through the web easily, plays video's etc... I have an app that runs tv shows also as long as your in a 3g network. The new 2.0 os will also allow google voice navigation, like the moto droid does. This is a great phone, touch screen, a lot of apps, and its a lot cheaper. good luck.:biggrin_255:

I have the Moto Droid. It has basically replaced my computer.

I keep track of my business with Documents To Go. I keep track of all my customers throuh Gmail and Google Maps helps me find the least expensive routes to get to them (be careful using Google Maps, it is not meant for trucks.)

I tether my computer through PDANet. I listen to music through Pandora. I watch Youtube and keep in contact with friends and family through Facebook.

I even play Tower Raiders whenever I want.

What the droid can't do is play certain types of media. Also, certain file types are not supported either.

Soon, Android 2.1 will upgrade the OS and hopefully Flash will come to.

I like my Droid. But my eyes are now on the new Windows Phone 7 Series coming out next holiday season. Zune & XBox on a smartphone. Sweet.

The Breeze and truckerdave1970 Thank this.

I currently have the BlackBerry Storm and I love it!

.My New Every 2 upgrade will be in July and I'm leaning towards the Moto Droid. I check the Droid Forums almost daily.

I haven't used a laptop for about 2 years now. Of course, I still have a desktop at home, when I need it.

My fiancée has the BlackBerry Curve, and most of the time, she says its just more convenient to browse something on her phone, than on the desktop.
