I have a full time job that does not require me drive . I own 1 truck that i'm putting a driver in. I want to keep my taxes from my job separated from my taxes I will owe for operating my trucking business.Which is the best way to go sole proprietor or LLC ? One last thing I might drive on the if the driver calls off sick and he has already pick up the load and can't deliver it.

definitely incorporate, that driver could have an accident and unless you incorporate you'll be financially responsible

what about taxes purposes?

Regardless of corp status he will still be financially responsible and can be sued. Incorporating do not remove you from being legally responsible it just gives you the ability to separate you corp tax from you personal tax and the ability to take tax breaks not available on your personal taxes. That said OP this is a question that would be better answered by a local tax adviser some states have different laws governing corporate taxes. But LLC or S Corp would be a better choice over sole proprietor.Baack Thanks this.
