i know that, but its still experience of driving a truck, its better than no experience at all

Why put your house up? At 19 IF you actually own a house why not get an equity line of credit and use that? That way, nobody other than your bank has an interest in your house.

You say that like it's a bad thing . The further he can stay from bottom feeder OTR carriers the better .

what cud be rong with my truck it is leaking water out of the reserve tank
-
My guess is that you have a leak!

Yeah, I might be 19 but I just bought my first house. And why take out a home equity lone of only 5,000 when ill just use it as collateral. I wonder if instead of my house, if they would take my truck as collateral.

Try googling "FAFSA" to find the 'Free Application for Federal Student Aid." I would post the link but this forum restricts me from posting links because my post count is too low. :smt089
I'm currently doing some research myself, and BlueScreen and I are probably going to inquire about a loan with our credit union as well. I'd rather get a loan for a couple thousand and pay it off than be hooked on a contract. My sister did that with a nursing job and ended up destroying her credit when she was forced to leave the job early. -
Whatever you do, do not put a home up as collateral for a truck driving school. If you can do it, and you may well have to wait until you are 21 try to get some kind of a state rehab program to pay for it. But you have to understand that the truck driving school game is like a con game.
I would like to set up a truck driving school on a reservation and train Native Americans to drive. But finding an honest school is RARE.. Do your homework but don't get trapped in some scheme. -
If i did it would be through my bank, not the school. Trust me, national is an awesome school. Ive spoke with about 30 different students who are currently enrolled and 3 who graduated and are working right now. Im already enrolled at the school for online classes, im about half way done with the online stuff. I start onsite training in march, and its 3 weeks long, what i like about national training is you do your bookwork online and that way when you go to the school your first day your in a truck for 8 hours. Their very hands on. And I'm actually going to ask my bank about putting up my truck instead of my house. Hopefully all goes well.
