Hot shot,we move crews from one rig to the next, move all the frac pumps and stuff. Also swap out pumps.Haul cement to the rigs.We move the forklifts around they use to handle the sand boxes. We have a couple step decks to deliver supplies with.I worked mostly cement the last shift.

You could drop down US83 South at Childress, TX to Abilene on I-20 then over to Stephanville. A few miles further but faster.

If the railroad ever decides to unload the train, it'll be 70/287/281

Don’t worry about size in Texas - Texas allows trailers upto 59’ long with out permit.

I have run 285’ long blade
Loads through Stephenville on 281 - so no issues on any of those roads around there

So, I used this following 'rule of thumb' to figure out if it was worth it to go down backroads:
Paved backroads: You'll only average about 40 mph, so they will take about 1 1/2 times as long to traverse per mile
Dirt backroads: You'll average about 30 mph, so it'll take you twice as long to cover the mileage.

I haven't hauled one or heard what the weights are,but they are heavy.Need Texas permits and designated route to move them.

287/281 would be my choice and I think would be the fastest best route.

I love the I-25 south through Raton also but check the weather through Raton pass.

I love Texas farm roads nearly every one I’ve taken has been great.
