Living a charmed life these days. Not only did they already give me a load assignment for tomorrow after I make delivery on my current load, but they also gave me another load assignment after that. Aside from my live unload tomorrow morning, everything is a drop and hook.

Deliver this load in Indianola, MS tomorrow morning at 8:00am.
Drop empty at West Memphis and hook a loaded trailer.
Drop loaded trailer at Wytheville and hook an empty.
Drop empty at the Kelloggs plant I was just at last week in the wilds of rural Kentucky, and hook a loaded trailer.
Drop loaded trailer in Lancaster, PA.

Currently running on recap, so it's probably a good thing I don't have to have it there until Tuesday.

Second trip up US-119 and I-79 in 7 days. Can't beat it. I may actually learn where all the truck stops are on I-79.

Dropped the convention load at WM yard then grab a Reno tomorrow morning for Tuesday or Wednesday. Looks like weather is supposed to behave itself on the way out there so far.

Knock me over with a feather. Sitting having breakfast at the house and get a phone call from the mothership letting me know I have a load assignment for tomorrow in Tampa. Wants to know when I plan on being ready to leave so they can schedule a pickup time. Noon tomorrow it is, heading to Byhalia MS.

Super windy up here on US95. Saw the wind advisory ahead of time but thought it wouldn’t be so bad. Getting knocked around with this 28k lb load. Trying to get this dropped this afternoon.

    IH9300SBA Thanks this.

Didn’t think I was going to get loaded today being they said freight was kinda crappy here but ended getting sent to Fallon to get loaded with hay going to Wilmington CA

Dropped trailer full of Pop-Tarts in Lancaster. Was instructed to hook an empty and drop it over at Lancaster Leaf. Instructions were complicated by the complete lack of empty trailers at the place I dropped the Pop-Tarts. Made an executive decision and bobtailed over to Lancaster Leaf instead.

Was instructed to hook trailer #7845 at Lancaster Leaf and take it to Wheeling. Instructions were complicated by the complete lack of trailer #7845. Phone calls were made, and after an hour and a half I get word that the load assignment had an unfortunate typo, and I was meant to grab trailer #7545 instead. This is the first time in six-anna-half years of driving for Abilene that I have received a load assignment with a typo in the trailer number, and I'm frankly surprised that it hasn't happened more often.

The delivery was in Wheeling proper, right on the riverfront. Lots of old buildings and narrow streets. Had to make many very wide turns out of and in to the oncoming traffic lanes. Was like driving in New Jersey.

Had to blind-side back into a recessed dock, which was just as much fun as it sounds. Then after they unloaded me, they reloaded me with a bunch of empty plastic skids to take back to Lancaster Leaf.

Will deliver those in the morning, then down to Havre de Grace to pick up a convention exhibit of some kind or other, which will be dropped on the yard tomorrow afternoon, at which point I will go home for the weekend to see my kids.
