The new generation of "O/O's"

And theres certain people that need to be the center of attention and Ytube and tic tok and most all Is social media outlets make it a race to see who can be the most Popular ..Theres people that make it a Priority in their life to become popular and thats what they live for
If you shut down social media and reality TV.. the Suicidal rate would go thru the roof

 

Or build a model. Build anything. Make a train set / layout. Draw.

BB gun wars was much better. It taught kids that guns hurt. Also I think that’s why kids today are socially awkward. They haven’t learned how to deal with disagreements and conflict. Plus they haven’t learned how to talk to girls, which is why I think they can’t find a girlfriend. But these are the ramblings of my old gen X mind.

 

GO OUTSIDE

I remember some years back billboards popping up telling kids to go out and play.

Right then I thought this is the beginning of the end when children need to be told to play.

I haven't skied much in recent years, but the grandkids are old enough to start now, and it's good exercise for this old fat geezer!

In the eighties and nineties when I was otr, we would run our ##### off till we got home, and then play/relax for a bit, and do it all over again. Stay home too long and get itchy to get on the road. Stay out and get to dreaming of being home. Tha

For me, life is too short to spend it earning money doing something you don't enjoy, but if you push too hard you don't enjoy it anyway.

 

When there started being stay at home dads. All happened about the same time

I do feel it’s, maybe, what has desensitized youth to killing/death. I’m 54 and didn’t grow up with such violent video games. I don’t recall mass shootings, in my youth.
