    Hello all,

    Two questions:

    1) Anybody else have an International with the Detroit 60 (11.1L)? I would like to reset the computer so I can get actual / current codes. I'm not sure what the procedure is (I don't have a manual) but this is what I'm doing: I'm holding down the 'Diag' button and counting blinks on the 'Warn Eng' light.

    2) Would eventually like to get the onboard computer to connect it to an OBD2 reader. Is that possible? The truck has an older style OBD type connector: square type with 6 slots on top, 6 on bottom). It has the following wires: 1) purple wire, 2) white (ground), 3) black with stripe (ground), 4) black (voltage ranging 1.2-3.3V), and a battery source (13+V). I have an OBD2 type connector from the junkyard that would connect to the reader if I knew what wires to connect to what pins. What pins would I have to match to get the reader to communicate with the onboard computer (assuming it is possible)?

    Thank you

What year of truck? Can you post a picture of the diagnostic connector?
The last eight of the VIN as well I might be able to find a diagram.

    alfio Thanks this.

11 litres were great little engines that lasted forever. I don’t remember any mechanic using anything but a laptop to check codes . Maybe something like a bully dog or atc code reader would work on the early series 60. Many ecms of that era would lose battery life iirc
