Thank you for input. I agree honesty is the best policy, it's what we teach our young. My drivers give me my marching orders and I only do what they say. I found it good policy to not promise things I can't deliver. Straight shooters sleep better at night. Safe travels.

So...what you're looking for is industry insider information and a few short-cuts to do your job better and make more money? Without putting in the time and paying a certain amount of dues?
You want to just slide right in and have a successful business based in part on information that you got from the members of TTR?

Remember my first piece of advice...the one about not lying?

How do dispatchers cut corners on regulations? It's a common mistake to confuse dispatch for brokering. As always thank you for your input. My drivers see value in my service. I am here to listen to truckers. i love the trucking industry. Please stay safe.

I consider myself a life long learner. I am here to better understand my drivers. If i find myself in a situation that i don't think I can improve then its time for me to hang it up. I'm never to old to learn and never too good at my job to be advised. There is always room for improvement. It's not a matter of paying dues. My business is successful because I work hard as do you I presume. My hope is to gain insight into trucking industry to better serve my clients, nothing more. This isn't an advertisement. I want to hear truck issues. Thank you for your input. Have safe travels.

About this successful business. Can you elaborate where your revenue comes from? Do you have 1 client or multiple? Who owns the trucks you are handling freight for, and how is the money flowing from the customer to the carrier? Does it pass through your hands?

I'm an independent dispatch service. I'm not on here to advertise. I am genuinely interested in trucker issues. The industry is fascinating. I want to gain insight to better serve my clients. I'm here to perfect my craft. So any advise you have even if redundant is useful. I want to know what is on the trucker's mind.

If you are working as an employee for that established dispatch service that is based in Arizona you should let everyone know here that is the case (you don't have to name it). Right now everyone is left to speculate if you are a one man show, a start up, working for a trucking company, or any other type of hybrid situation that exist in that world. Describing your situation will get you better answers. Believe it or not, you are being somewhat evasive.

I have a manageable amount of clients. I don't handle any money. that's a broker. Honestly once load is complete I invoice factoring company for my drivers. i handle all aspects of load from booking to pay. I run on a flat monthly fee. We saw real flaws in the pricing for dispatching. We wanted to try to offer a cheaper service. The going rate is 7-8% of gross. In the 1980's dispatching was probably a very difficult job. With technology everything is electronic and fast. We see how technology and a solid TMS can handle the day to day activity. We charge a small fraction to what other charge. We felt we could give a better product for less. I'm not here to advertise. I appreciate your conversation. Please stay safe.

Maybe if I posed my questions differently too. Maybe if i ask what does it take to make a good dispatcher? I can always improve. I have clients although company is relatively new.
