High - making more $$$ than ever, giving a young man pumping his arm a solid 3 second blast and seeing his smile. Learning getting dog tired and frustrated makes your backing embarrassing. Using ELDT knowledge/common sense to discover secondary glad hand slipped and was leaking to the point my truck didnt want to shift for crap making docking/backing painful. Only discovered when leaving dock, always have the windows down listening for weird noises.. yup Hisssssssssss..................

Lows - Having the county sheriff demand i go up a hill on a 90 degree turn for his idea of a detour regardless of me motioning i'm in a long semi, unloaded, hill is snow covered and unplowed. I made it 50 feet. He moved his detour down to a a more sensible road. County shows up with plow truck/sand. He gets stuck. I help him pack sand under his tires and blessed him for attempting to get unstuck because he was 2 inches from rolling his equipment down a 6 foot deep shoulder embankment. Plow driver sanded then plowed my truck out, impressed at the minimal sand needed for empty truck traction, loaded would have been interesting.

Getting stuck put things in perspective. Reason for my detour, 76 year old lady died, slid out and hit a semi head on 5 minutes ahead of me. I'll take getting stuck any day, thank you lord.

I still remember there was an accident and made a detour through downtown of a small city (Bangor Maine). Just when a tanker was rolling by at a steady 15mph, a lady tripped on the sidewalk and fell right in front of the trailer tandems. I remember people suing but don’t remember an outcome. Long story short, watch them detours.

Feel free to share your highs and lows. Sometimes it's just nice to hear others perspectives.

Todays high: getting through the icepocalypse. Seeing a fedex drivers trailer swing out and they abruptly knuckled her back where it belonged.
Todays low: seeing a tanker jack knifed/ditched w/considerable cab damage and a box truck on its side.

My hi, this week is at home when we hit 62 degrees yesterday, and my low will likely be waking up to 6 degrees tomorrow.

High sitting in my ### getting paid to watch baseball.

    IMG_20230222_192545347.jpg

Low sitting at a local pizzeria counter watching 80s music videos and going "is that a dude or a chick"

    ....at like every song.

Not a bad week so far.
Security over at Xavier had me go thru the metal detector three times then I yelled I want the pat down real loud while smiling. She goes you about to get the boot.

This could be fun. For this past week…

High: getting into a random company truck and discovering it does 70 on cruise and pedal (the rest only do 67/65), and doesn’t have a driver facing camera.

Low: They pulled the truck out of service and installed a camera. Still does 70 so either they haven’t discovered that or don’t care enough to change it.

High: the railroad misshipped an Omaha railcar to Fargo. 9 stops bringing them back down (but was able to blend half with Omaha freight) but $$$$!

Low: The weather in the midwest sucks this week.
