Marlboro Reds "Red Birds" for the win, er I mean emphysema.

Marlboro used cotton filters, Winston's used fiberglass lol.

 

The old man, the uncle's, all the aunt's, all smoked Lucky Strikes. Always in a pack. I don't know if they even came in a box.

 

I think they all quit smoking towards the ends of their lives. But they all lived long lives for the most part too.

Except Mom, she got cancer when she was 62. But she did something for a defense contractor making circuit boards after she got out of the air force.

She said she worked with Mercury,, and even talked about having a cigarette burning while she was at work.

I don't think they knew back then how toxic stuff was. They just didn't know.

 

Pall Mall's. Lol. Those were really bad.

 

I bought 2 cartons on Friday, same as I'd done for awhile at Sheetz on the way home one Friday ( one for the old man ), and got like $7 back from a C note.

That 18 years ago. Thought this out of hand now.
