Would you sign a broker's contract that has these penalties listed?

Lol. I told a broker to get over himself for a lot less than that.

That's ridiculous and the way some are worded is too vague. Definitely wouldn't sign it.

Yes, I would. I believe in doing things how the customers want. This broker seems to have had it with crap carriers. I don’t blame em. When I hire some one to do a job I expect it done right. All you got to do is go to a loves fuel island and look at the top rated carriers out there. -Sarcasm
My customer expects more than that broker does. And I am grateful to have them these days. If that broker pays well pm me their info. I’ll take em from you.

Typical 'lawyer speak' or contract speak IMO, though contracts and lawyers make it much harder to understand. The point is they don't want to take any responsibility for anything at all that happens once they sell you a load and they are looking for an excuse to keep some of the money they agreed to pay you for doing a job.

I come from the world of doing a job honestly, properly and timely and I hate that most brokers, and it IS most, feel they need to put all this crap in their contracts/rate cons every time.

It tells you a lot about the typical drivers/companies we all work among and it isn't good.
