It was announced three weeks ago, but I doubt thr recruiters all paid attention to the memo.

We were told in NO uncertain terms that we are NOT getting paid for the van rides to and from training. We log on-duty when we get to the facility and off-duty as we're leaving. Training has not ran over 8 hours yet. 7-4.

I am, or now was, part of the experienced class. They spend 3-4 days with a local TE, back to the hotel every night. The 70 will never come into play.

But... As I just said, I am no longer part of Schneider Bulk Training. I quit and am fixing to drive home. It's Day 3 and they messed with my post-orientation pay. I'm done. I'll post a full thread about this latest information and my whole experience later.

They are seeing who will agree to punked.

    It's not going to change.

So ask yourself what kind of individual you are.

Now, maybe you desperately need this particular job for whatever circumstances you're in.

But get yourself a big can of Vaseline. Cause they are showing you right up front what it's going to be like.

Many companies don't even pay for orientation. They consider orientation to be part of the interview and hiring process. If you want the job then let this pass.

I confess I didn't read all the posts. But Zvar is right in my opinion. Said company could have changed the advertising, continued to honor the existing policy through orientation of those brought in under that policy. Instead their actions said we really don't care about our drivers.
People need to stop giving these companies a pass on their rotten business practices.

Coover, drvrtech77, ZVar and 2 others Thank this.

I quit yesterday. That was just the first of many lies Schneider told. I created a thread explaining it all: My Brief Time at Schneider Bulk

No offense, but it's your own fault for believing they were actually going to pay you $100 per day when you don't even have your cdl.
