Breaking News Story.. two officers shot in Fresno County.

My Mom lives less than a mile from there and I grew up there. My brothers and sister went to Centerville Elementry.

Crazy, Im going to have to call my Mom... I used to ride my bike to that little old grocery store there in Minkler. We called in Blinkler, because if you blinked while driving by you missed it. 2 or 3 houses, the grocery, and a small feed store.

Google Maps show the address in the middle of the orange grove. I havent been back much in the last 20 years.

 

Got a hold of my half-brother. He got home early enough from wisdom teeth surgery to miss the road blocks....

He said my Mom and Step Father are waiting to find out when they can get through to get home from work.

He didnt know about any evacuation, but my parents told him to stay put. I dont imagine they would come knocking as our house is one of three houses down a .8 mile dirt road driveway... one way in one way out and about 1.8 miles overall from the scene by road. Less than a mile "as the crow flys" but part of the Kings River bi-sects that distance.

 

This is crazy!

When I was a kid we were taught to have respect for police, firemen, doctors, teachers, and lawyers. I know that there are 'bad' cops as well as other professionals who need to have their licenses revoked. This complete lack of respect, for human life is something to which I will never get used.

My thoughts and prayers are with the familys of the injured and deceased.

 

How sad. Did they say what the warrant was for? I can't imagine that there could be that much fire power unless it was drugs or something like that. I will say a prayer for the officers and their families that God will comfort and heal them, physically and spiritually in their time of need.
