I'm sure that your husband was in the jump seat training, and not in the sleeper when he wasn't driving....right? It's not the miles or the money but the satisfaction of passing on the experiance and know-how to someone that is just entering the trucking field that is the most rewarding aspect of being a trainer....right? And I imagine that the trainee got the utmost in professional training, and couldn't think to ask for anymore....right?

Any company that makes me go through a metal detector and makes me talk to my dispatcher throught a plastic glass is not worthy of my driving services. Period.

I was in Willard Utah at the Flying J last night and this england truck spent about twenty minutes trying to get his truck straight in a pull through parking spot next to me. After a while he was so screwed up that I got out and asked him if I could help him get situated...He said " No, I've got it" So I went back to my truck.
About ten minutes or so later he was still floundering around trying to get straight and I went over and said..."Look, You are obviously never gonna get this thing parked 'cause you're just getting more screwed up here and I'm concerned that you're gonna hit my truck" At that point he let me talk him into the spot and in about two minutes he was straight and parked.

He went in the truckstop and about a half hour later he came back to the truck with his "trainer" and another "student" and they all got in the truck and headed off down the road!

The trainer looked as confused as the other two and what kind of garbage outfit would have two students running with a trainer in one truck?
CR England has been a trashbag company for years and just when you think they can't possibly get any worse...They get worse!

I saw that last August at the Pilot just south of Jacksonville FL. An England fleace truck was parked next to me and I see a poor chap trying to get some shut eye in the jump seat. I'm thinking WTF, then him and two more guys climb out the truck. There is barely just enough room for a single person in a truck I could not imagine having to share that space with two more people.:biggrin_25510:

Peanut Butter yes he gets paid for all 6,200 miles it was an income of 2,000 for one week, which I am pretty proud of.

Hitman my husband takes his training position very seriusly. He does actually train them. Thats one thing that has changed with his new phase one I rarely get to talk to him anymore due to the fact that hes always helping his student drive thru citys, teaching him to chain up and back up and park and the list goes on and on. He takes it so seriously that his 1st student that was only a 10 day student he would not sign off on due to the fact he did not feel that the guy was prepared enough to get in his own truck and drive. He actually got the top gun patch in his training class.

    Hitman Thanks this.

WOW, 2 grand a week? Is that his net after the fleace payment, fuel, and expenses? I guess I could take England's abuse and be treated like trash for $2 grand a week!

That's crappy miles for a team plus training . Heck I did better then that when i trained backing and shift isn't that hard to teach some1 . They don't have it by the time you pull out of the parking lot . They will never have it . 7200 to 7800 is a good miles for a team and training . By the next week we were doing 8400 and I bought the students meals and give them money to live on cuz cre didn't pay them crap
