Poisonous chemicals? You mean urea? The main component of piss that comes out of your own body? Okay.

DEF may not be poisonous but the ammonia smell that results when it reacts with the catalyst can't be good for you. Gives me a splitting headache within 5 minutes.

I can't stand the smell of diesel smoke. But it also ain't my place to tell others they can't drive an old or deleted diesel either.

Couldn't be farther from the truth. Remember when Detroit first came out with the Series 60? The improvement in fuel econonomy took them from a has been with the two stroke engines to one of the leaders in market share, and made Cat and Cummins step up their game.

Yep, and a prime example of what happens when the market dictates demand.

16k for a new A/C system for my house. That’s the quotes I got. Apparently I don’t have the right qualifications and can’t do the job myself.

For 16k I can do the job 3 times and learn and still save 2k.

it’s not just the trucking world.

The problem with current diesel emission systems is they are prone to failure leaving you stuck on the side of the road. I dont blame anyone for doing away with that crap. I did the same to my 3500.

When I had the SCR done on Casper it was $7600 at Cummins.

They needed half up front. Gave them the check.

I got their most veteran mechanic, and it was done in two days.

The service writer pointed out two 680's sitting their, also Landstarve's, that had been altered that were looking down the gun barrel at $20K for a whole new system.

Both were waiting for Landstarve approval and a loan from Landstarve.

Play it straight, and you'll be ok.

It’s easy to say that they will never bother little ol’ me. Until they do.
