My company's policy is you have four seconds to correct following to close. Which means you have four seconds to be correcting the distance.
If I get cut off by a passing truck I simply let off the pedal every couple of seconds and I'm good no matter how long it takes to get more than two seconds behind. -
Don’t do it on camera… it’s called distractive driving and practically every carrier will dismiss you for it.

Problem is these new wanabee truck drivers for at least the past decade or really more get out here and try to drive their truck same as they drive their 4 wheelers; most of them should not even have an operator’s license let alone a Class A… ol timers been eating, reading road atlas, drinking from their cup, and ratchet jawing on the mics while driving for decades, each; and ain’t none with 2-5 million safe miles had any accidents for such.
All this digital technology came into existence because of the piss poor driving habits of wannabees in the last couple decades! And you can place that blame on their parents for not instilling self discipline by disciplining their kid while growing up… cause the way they drive sure ain’t maturity!!! -
Nope you sure ain’t… owner operator truck 270K trailer excluded.

What carrier?

It’s called AI technology, already here and it’s coming to a theatre near you, (so to speak).

Look out for jonnie law… when cooling the tires, they been writing indecent exposure tickets for a decade now.
