I wasn't talking about 65mph trucks tho. Except for urban areas and construction zones I pretty much run 75 everywhere so for me it wouldn't make any difference. But here we go again, one shoe doesn't fit all, but in what I do the aero truck will be more profitable every time.

You realize the faster you go more the money you save on an aero vs a hood? I like your clown outfit though!

That's what I mentioned in another thread. It's amusing seeing drivers in nice 379's and W900's pulling reefers running 65 mph that barely manage 6 mpg while an aero truck pulling a reefer can run 75 mph getting 7.5 with ease. If conditions are right it'll do 8.

A sample of the info Joel posts, for the haters.

Another sample post, showing what this turbo-compounding, I-Torque engine can do. Again, he posts video footage, with OBD overlay, demonstrating it in real time.

There are several of these guys doing it, in Volvo, Mack, and Freightliner tractors.

I had heard, the old JB Hunt buses would fuel mileage like that. However, I’ve zero desire to drive a setback COE, to find out.

You can use a 10mm on a 3/8”. It isn’t the right tool, but you can use it.

If only everyone ever pulled just a reefer.

I wonder how those liners liked that stint at 770 RPM.
