Blair does a good job at trying to cover the highlights without making them too long.

What are these guys seeing in the tea leaves that makes them think things will get better in the second half? Sounds not much different than something youd expect from fortune tellers.

    Rideandrepair and Oxbow Thank this.

I think they expect inventory to burn off and capacity to leave the market. This won’t be consumer demand driven recovery. But if you listen to JB Hunt they basically said their customers have no what demand is and they expected orders that never came. That really doesn’t give you confidence. JB Hunt flat out said it’s not a matter if but when the cycle turns but have no clue when that will be. And compare that to Knight Swift who sees a 2nd half recovery.

I’m thinking (or maybe hoping) about October we will see start seeing a recovery. The rates and volumes have seriously deteriorated in April how can anyone operate in this environment for a sustained period of time?

    Siinman and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Have little to no debt, paid off equipment(doesn't mean you run cheap freight), leased on to a good company, have contract freight or sell the truck and be a company driver before digging your hole any deeper. Hopefully anyone that was around for the last few years put away a big rainy day fund. Anyone that's been around knew this wasn't gonna last forever

Most accurate post I’ve seen in a while!!
Had a guy show up the other day where I was loading and ask if he should use straps or chains on a 250 excavator.

Just watched the interview. I enjoyed it. I didn’t even know Blair had a channel. That’s what I call “Real” Trucking. More involved than swinging doors and dropping landing gear, learning how to pull the pin without getting grease on your shoulder, Lol. You Guys are part Millwright, part Field Repairmen, part engineer. The very definition of a Skilled Trade. Impressive. Good Job.
