You're looking in the wrong places. Get away from Nashville and Knoxville. Davidson and Knox counties suck. Look at maps to determine surrounding counties, look for smaller towns about 20 miles away from cities. Parcels 5 acres and larger are much less prone to dumb regulations than smaller ones.
Knox and nash are inundated with transplants from NY and Chicago that brought their stupid with them. The rest of us ignore them, or haven't figured out how to remedy the issue.

The same thing is happening in New Hampshire and Maine, all the idiot Massachusetts people move north to get away from the craziness but just bring it with them. Youve got to go an hour out of the way before you get to anywhere with sane people that just want to be left alone.

I'm in Maine and would agree with this, especially when it comes to Portland. Venture outside the "city" and it's much better, both in terms of price and nobody getting in your business.

I don't know much about much but if I could go back OTR these three companies would be on top of my list (I have worked for all three previously):
    Custom Commodities headquartered in Gilmer,TX
Hazmat Environmental out of Buffalo, NY
Sentinel Transportation, headquartered in Willmington, DE

I have been hauling liquid hazmat for over 16 years. Once you go tankers you will never go back to vans, I promise.

Naaaahhh. If you have successfully hauled hazmat tanker for 16+ years....I would submit you actually know A LOT about A LOT.

THANK YOU....for your above post. Good reviews/feedback about specific commercial carriers are rarer than hen's teeth here on the Forum--and the positive feedback (for a change) is indeed most welcome.

ESPECIALLY--with regard to tanker carriers! :hello1:
