WELL, as has been said earlier in the thread, if you have three gringo's and three logbooks you're unlikely to have a single driver logging more than 8 hours a day driving. I"m not sure that that is a good thing. I guess it isn't a bad way to do it but I can't see it happen often with U.S. truckers. You reference that we have more trucking accidents and that may be true but I'm pretty sure that we have more widespread populations that are out in vehicles. That alone will drive up more numbers of accidents. AND we have more stupid and careless four wheelers that don't respect truckers and think truckers can stop as fast as their cars do. Us fourwheelers jump in front of 18wheelrs and stop in front of them the next second, so yeah, those are probably the accidents you are citing. I guess that's just saying that gringo's respect the 18wheelrs. And who wouldn't, knowing they got three of 'em in the truck ready to come down and beat ya to death. I said a few weeks ago I'd like to take a load down through to Central America, but if I need a huge dog and a machine gun to make it down there, Maybe I'll just wait on that one...
Maybe we should take some lessons from you guys. Maybe its not such a bad idea to have 3 drivers. (albeit, with a built in shower stall) That way three families benefit instead of just two AND the highway MAY BE safer. I'm not thinking it'd catch on though. Better than a big stinky dog though...

I wouldn't be tossing around insults about machine guns if I were you. It was in Mexico that I had a federale put a machine gun to my temple. Why? Oh I was bad alright I was taking supplies to orphans in Mexico. Bad bad me.

Actually....to find the safe drivers....
They'd have to pass the "Pat Boone Skills Test"....
All drivers whether American, Canadian, or Mexican, should be forced to drive and listen to Pat Boone signing Tootie Fruitti looped for 11 hrs....Those that can drive safely and still want to drive after that...deserve to drive in the states.....MexicoTrucker Thanks this. -
You've lost your mind.
-
What???....Would you pass or fail that test?.....
-
You may now qualify for being officially insane. That said, you may be on to something. Anybody who could do this without using their big truck to slaughter millions would definitely be able to handle East Coast driving.
-
See.....I can be useful.....

-
Just bare in mind, I would fail this test within the first 10 minutes or so. heh heh heh.

Anyone who could listento Pat Boone for even an hour should be locked up in a padded room.

You do know Pat Boone sang Metal don't you???
