Going to school as soon as I get a few things squared away. I'm hoping to find something local right out of school. How many hours do home every night guys usually work a week?

Depends on what you're doing.
I haul local tanker, gas hauler, and I pull between 50 and 65 hours a week.
There's gigs that you don't work at much, but they also don't pay as much.
Figure out what you're wanting, and then figure out how to make it happen.
Beverage companies, some fuel haulers, ltl, even a few chemical tanker companies will hire grads.
Expect to start on nights.
Expect the first year to suck.
You'll live. Get through it. We all did. You can too.
Don't jump jobs. Embrace the suck, and pay your dues. I promise you'll be better for the experience.
Learn. Earn. Grow.
You got this.
@ChinatownTwistin' throttles, Lav-25, lual and 3 others Thank this. -

Performance Foodservice usually wants 12 months experience, but sometimes hires for a trainee program right out of cdl school. I check there and ask if the driver trainee program is available.
