The plot thickens.....

 

Finished my 34 in Circleville, OH this morning and got moving and got down to the toll plaza before the flattop exit and haji somehow managed to crash himself into the concrete in front of one of the toll booths, real close to mowing over the booth itself too. Id wager speed played a factor being how mashed his front end was.

 

Are you saying he should have stayed at 7-11?

 

Shocked I actually got preplanned Sunday for today after unloading BH in Columbia, SC. Pick up at Ridgeville Walmart DC to Sam’s Club in Greenfield, IN. Won’t get there til tomorrow morning. DM calls me if I can make it to the Alpharetta, Ga. BH for Wednesday 0400, nope cuz I will only have 5 hrs left drive time after dropping tomorrow morning. So they put a live load on me at Pepsi in Austin, IN. going to Johnstown, Pa for Wed morning 0600. Told my DM won’t make that either cuz it is 95 mile DH to Austin so after loaded Ill only make back to Spiceland and have to shut it down and won’t be able to start my clock again soon enough to make it by 0600 Wednesday morning. DM says we’ll see where things are tomorrow…..one of these days they will listen to me….I drive a truck not a time machine…..

 

Had a delivery this morning at jarhead0311 time. 3:00am at the WalMart DC in Washington Courthouse. Got there at 2:50, was told that the actual delivery appointment was at 4:30am. Fortunately they took me early.

New load has me picking up something in New Castle and taking it to Jacksonville, FL, which I can get behind.

Still flying a loaner. Thought I might get my own truck back last week, but in true 3rd-party shop fashion, they managed to find other stuff wrong with the truck, which they then convinced HQ to let them fix. They told me the check engine light came on while they were road-testing the original repairs. I told 'em I've put every mile on that truck but the first 400, and that check engine light has been on pretty much the entire time.

Hopefully this week sometime I'll be back in my truck. Flying a loaner sucks. Also really making me dread the day when they sell my KW out from under me. I definitely feel like the Volvo is more annoying in the areas I care about.

 

Did Abilene shut the Wytheville Va yard down?

 

It is still there and running, trailers and trucks been moved to top of the hill now.

 

I wanna meet whoever it was that thought putting a trailer yard up on top of a 13% downgrade was a good idea.

View up there is pretty nice, though.
