Seen a few loggers do it with super b's. Gauge for the lead and a gauge for the pup both mounted in the viewing window of the headache rack. Last place you want to be is out beside the truck when they're loading you.
Install air gauge on drives as scale

You also either need an orifice or a way to shut off pressure to the gauge. If you don't, the pressure spikes driving down the road will rapidly ruin the gauges.

I had the Right Weight gauge in my truck that was set to display actual pounds load on my drives, and regular psi gauges on my super b trailers.
I was always able to get within 500 lbs of 140,000 lbs overall gross weight once I got use to where everything should read.
The first week I had it, I ran over the local scales about a dozen times to confirm the readings. Used it for 8 years after that.RepoweredRookie Thanks this. -
Won't work on spring ride trailers,,just kidding, pal, I used to pull RR containers, consistently overloaded( it's only going on the rail, they'd say) and even though it was only on the drives, I knew if I as over, and saved my ### many times. I didn't see if someone told you, it can be plumbed in right past the ride height valve in the line going to the bags. The trailer gauge may have to be back by the trailer tires, meaning, say in a load shift, you won't know it from the cab.

These probably aren't cheap. Those load cells were about $1k each 15 years ago.

You can do the fancy load right if you want, but just a T fitting to a water filled guage is less the. $50 to set up, scale empty to figure out how much lb per psi you have and load the wagon
RepoweredRookie and 201 Thank this. -
