You sound like a dispatcher. Did you not read the final sentence? Can’t make money if you don’t go to work. I’ve been around the industry half my life and have been in two different oilfields in the U.S. Collectively in the last year there’s been more breakdowns and truck issues with this company than I’ve seen the entirety of my career. From farm exempt on up. No exaggeration. The only reason I’m still here is because when the truck runs and management isn’t on his high horse like John frickin Wayne the money potential is great.

Transmission isn't an issue that'd put you OOS. The tires and air gauges would get you some flack.

Welding frames is legal as far as I know - thart's how they extend the frames on those fancy show trucks.

Truck frames do crack now and then. A few hours labour and some rod is a lot cheaper than $10k + labour for a new rail.

Nostalgic, gentleroger and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Are you mad the stuff doesn’t get fixed or are you mad your income drops when you raise a stink about the stuff not being fixed? Personally I’d have a hard time getting out of bed to go drive junk equipment every day no matter how much it paid when there’s hundreds of other companies out there with better equipment.

    gentleroger Thanks this.

You are required to have a signal. That can be a light, alarm, or both. But only one is required.

393.51(c)(2) A warning signal that is audible or visible to a person in the normal driving position and provides a continuous warning to the driverwhenever the air pressure in the service reservoir system is at 379 kPa (55 psi) and below, or one-half of the compressor governor cutout pressure, whichever is less.

S5.1.5 Warning signal requires a low air pressure warning signal that is either visible to the driver, or if it is not directly in front of the driver, is both visible and audible. The warning signal must activate when the pressure in any reservoir system is below 60 psi and the vehicle's ignition is in the “on” position.

You don't win an argument with your employer, very often.
