You have to be scientific about this. You got 3 to choose from. Go to the CRE thread. Ask the ones that went to CRE which one they think would be best. Eliminate their answer, then your down to the flip of a coin...:biggrin_25523:

marten is a bottom feeder and will fire you at random if you ask any out of the way questions or you'll sit more than drive, AND whatever you do disregard any quotes from kabar. he's either a GOOD BUDDY for randy or it is randy marten

If you like refer go to Marten, if you like dry van - go to Crete or Roehl.
    These 3 carriers arent BAD.

I worked for Roehl in the reefer division for 2 yrs and had an accident in OH on 2/10/10and they canned me for it. They are very strcit and preach driving the "Roehl Way" only. Pluse miles were getting lower each month. I would go with Marten, they move you more and plus they have good equipment. Roehl has fairly good tractors but the trailers are mostly old and have issues with getting fixed even when reported. Also as of 1/1/10 all drivers must be able to enter Canada.

I can not speak to the other two carriers but from personal experinces I would not select Roehl. If you like sitting, relaying everyother load, low miles and take absolutly outragious mandated routes I guess it is ok.

Many of the people that sing Roehl's praise are trainers who benifit from highering more people. (I do not blame the trainers for this everyone wants to make more)

The problem with Roehl is that they keep hiring people while there current drivers are already suffering from low miles.

Don't be fooled about Rohel's Hype.

Crete said 3-5 days on the approval process so tomorrow I'm going to give them a call. This wait is killing me though.

This guy is an idiot who got fired from Marten because he could not do the job right. They require you to do things the Marten way. Most companies are funny about you doing things there way or getting out of there truck. If you are a good driver, Do your job right and are willing to run then Marten IS for you. They are a refer company and 80% of what they haul is food. But you will keep moving when dry vans like Crete are sitting. I did 2758 miles last week and when I del tomorrow in Atlanta I will have 3274 miles for this week.
